At Regimental Cleaning Services, we regularly support local and national charities and organisations as a way of giving back to our community. We love finding ways of raising much-needed charity funds for good causes.
On Wednesday 11th August, the team had a fantastic night hosting and sponsoring a charity race night event at Fos Las Racecourse in Carmarthenshire, which was organised to raise money for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity. We were delighted to host 100 individuals representing a host of local businesses.
As well as the exciting horse-racing action, the evening included a raffle, live auction and silent auction followed by live music by Ragsy a singer-songwriter from Aberdare who appeared on the Voice In 2013. We would like to thank everyone who supported our fundraising evening and helped us to raise around £5,000 for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, a cause very close to our hearts.
ABF is the Army’s national charity. It one of the largest funders towards supporting individuals who have served in the Army and their families in aspects such as bereavement, disability, housing, employment, education and more. The charity has supported over 60,000 people from 63 different countries just last year, aged from just two years old to the eldest at 103.
Many of our staff at Regimental Cleaning Services are former military personnel, with company founder Ian Williams having served in the Welsh Guards for almost 10 years. Recognising the importance that employment and opportunities can play for individuals after leaving the military, Regimental supports local training providers who support the Army family and also provide job opportunities to former military personnel.
Ian Williams, our managing director, said:
“Supporting military personnel is at the heart of Regimental Cleaning Services, and we’re already looking forward to planning more fundraising events and creating more opportunities within our business to continue supporting important causes and people. Look out for updates on our next fundraising event and how you can support us.”
