Supporting local charities and organisations is our favourite way to give back to the community, and Regimental Cleaning Services are proud to be sponsoring a number of local football teams and clubs in the Swansea Area as the start of their local league football begins.
We are pleased to be able to support Pontlliw AFC, Pwll AFC, Camford AFC under 14s and Pontarddulais AFC, with funds to help them continue coaching young footballers in the local area and nurture developing talent.
Our contribution towards Pontarddulais AFC includes new signage at their football grounds, while we are proud to help Camford AFC under 14s provide more opportunities for young people to try out football, develop their skills and also meet new friends while keeping healthy through exercise.
Grassroots football clubs like Camford, Pwll, Pontlliw and Pontarddulais are important in local communities to help promote social inclusion, get more people involved in local football and develop hidden talent in young people who may not have had the opportunity to try football or team sports in the past.
With the excitement of the recent Euros and the ongoing Olympics displaying some of the amazing talent across the UK, it’s important to remember that all of these successful athletes began their careers at local sports teams just like the ones we are supporting. Without the dedicated local communities providing support from donations these fantastic opportunities would not be possible, and the team at Regimental are excited to be supporting this important organisation.
Our company founder Ian Williams is no stranger to the football field, and enjoyed a successful career as a player and manager.
Ian said: “It’s an honour to be able to give back to the local community football clubs, which is a cause I feel is highly important. Football needs to be supported at a grassroots level to ensure these young people have the opportunities to develop skills and connect with each other, and we are so pleased to be a part of it. Regimental Cleaning Services was built on the ethos of community spirit and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for the young players in the coming years.”
