We are happy to support this year’s Great British Spring Clean, run by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy. The campaign, which runs from 17th March to 2nd April 2023, will see up to hundreds of thousands of people taking action to clean up streets, parks and beaches across the country.
Now into its eighth year, this year's mission is focusing on the pride that the #LitterHeroes have for their local community. Last year, nearly half a million bags – 449,406 to be precise – were pledged. During the campaign, members of the great British public join forces with a range of partners – from big business and trusts to community groups and councils – to get rubbish off the ground, safely collected, and recycled.
At Regimental Cleaning Services, we are avid supporters of promoting campaigns like the Great British Spring Clean, and have developed our own initiative to combat litter in our region: Clean is Green.
We launched our Clean is Green campaign in 2021 to put the business community at the heart of taking responsibility for keeping local areas clean and tidy. Led by our founder, Ian Williams, we are committed to making our staff available for litter picking or other cleaning duties in local public areas, including beaches, in any downtime they have during work hours.
Our aim is to educate and prevent littering at the source of the problem by spreading awareness. We want businesses and local communities to understand the power they have in making a change.
If you want to take action to protect the environment join the Great British Spring Clean and pledge to pick up a bag – or more – today. You can join in with the #LitterHeroes community on social media by tagging @keepbritaintidy , or using the hashtags: #GBSpringClean #MillionMileMission
